That's Trash

This is my version of the assessment "Thats Trash". As Jamie said there is a 1001 ways to undertake this task and this is what, how and why I have done it this way.

Having had a broken lighting fixture in my bathroom the past couple of months smashed and shattered light bulbs have been a regular occurrence for me. Once a bulb was been replaced it it would fall and a few days later need to be replaced again. Therefore my rubbish bin has been full of glass and broken bulbs. So when given the assignment "That's Trash" I knew I had to create an artwork that vented my own trash and frustration.

This piece uses alot of the required elements that the brief and Photoshop have to offer. The use of a scanned object is evident, having scanned the brown string/rope myself. The light bulbs are a digital image that has been duplicated and each bulb has its own unique character helped by the eraser, clone and shadow tools.
The font I decided to undertake myself. I decided to make it a handwritten font as I feel it suited the aesthetic look of the piece. It was given an inner and outer glow effect was added to give the letters that authentic bulb look.
The brown paper was photographed and then given effects to make it look worn and rustic. I used the brown paper as it is what I used to collect all the pieces of broken glass with. Shards of lass were also inserted into the assessment to continue in portraying the authentic look of the piece.
