This is the Album Cover Assessment that I have come up with. I decided to do mine on French New Wave, a style of music that was inspired by the French New Wave Cinema movement of the 1950s and 60s, and was also the predecessor of New Wave music.
The album cover is simplistic which I believe makes it work. It is chic and stylish just like the genre itself.
This assignment was done in Photoshop. The image was drawn with my drawing tablet and modeled on Debbie Harry of Blondie fame who was influential in bringing this style of New Wave music to mainstream success in the 1970s. I chose Vladamir Script as my font as I felt it had a French appeal. Other Photoshop tools used were elements and tools that were used were: the eraser tool, drop shadow, inner and outer glow, fill effects, airbrush.
